Nominations

The Don Quijote Award nomination period is now closed. This year, over 100 nominations were received and processed for consideration of the nominating committee. Qualified nominees were contacted regarding their nomination in September, 2011. Please note that to be considered for an award, nominees must fulfill the requirements in the respective award category and must live or work in the Central Florida region. Also note that previous winners, Don Quijote Awards´ Selection Committee, elected officials and Board members of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando and the HBIF are not eligible for nomination. Nominations that were received after the September 16 deadline were not considered.

The selection committee reviewed and scored all completed applications. Finalists were announced during a press conference held on November 8, 2011.
