Due to the negative impact of COVID-19 to small businesses, in 2020, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando and Prospera will not be presenting an award for the Hispanic Business of the Year categories. Instead, both organizations will do a special recognition to the entire small business community for its resiliency and innovation to overcome the challenges presented by the pandemic.
Prior to making your nomination, please review the DQA Eligibility Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria. 2020 winners will be announced on December 2020 at the Don Quijote Awards Gala
The nomination timeline is as follows:

December 15, 2019: Nomination period opened

August 1, 2020: Deadline to apply

November 2020: Press conference announcing finalists

December 2020: Winners will be announced at the 23rd Annual Don Quijote Awards Gala

PLEASE NOTE:
Anyone can submit a nomination. Interested parties may nominate another business or individual; businesses and individuals may also self-nominate. Once your nomination has been submitted, the nominee will be notified.
Nominations will be due on August 1 at midnight, and applications received after midnight on that date will not be considered.
The Don Quijote Award steering committee strives for ultimate transparency and excellence. A selection committee composed of the leadership staff of HCCMO and Prospera, local executives, business owners, and/or past award winners will review and score all completed applications.
